What in the Lat Am? Why These ETFs Are Suddenly on Our Radar

Share

In this Quick Hitter video, I dive into a trend I’ve been spotting for weeks in one of my favorite reports, the “Most Active” report.

While today (Veterans Day) was quiet, I’ve consistently seen Latin America ETFs popping up as activity outliers. It made me ask, “What in the Lat Am is going on?”

To find out, I jump into our “Equity Region and Country” dashboard. I show that while Latin America is a small category, its performance this year has been incredible, with countries like Colombia and Peru up over 60% year-to-date. The category has also seen nearly $3 billion in new flows, a massive 30% jump in assets.

I even drill down into the largest broad-based ETF, ILF, to show its steady 50% climb this year—its best performance since 2009. I wanted to share what caught my eye and show you how to use the platform to research these kinds of macro trends.
